Master Class: Diseases of the Ageing Brain

Our Master Class was established in 2015, when it was recognised that many health care professionals feel ‘out of their depth’ when looking after patients with Neurological issues.  Neurology is recognised as a challenging specialty where the stakes can be very high.  However, most older patients are not looked after by Neurologists with much of the ‘heavy lifting’ being done by colleagues in Geriatrics and Psychiatry, supported by a variety of Allied Health professionals.

The Master Class has prided itself over the years on providing high level education to fill that critical knowledge gap.  Our speakers are asked to provide material that is directly relevant and will provide greater confidence when our attendees return to their own practices be that in the hospital, outpatient or community setting.  After covering its costs, any funds raised from the Master Class are directed back into research tackling diseases of the ageing brain.
